Continuing To Serve Their Country, Our Veterans.
“There is a need for energy of all sources to meet growing demand across the nation. I am motivated to help meet the needs of the nation and ensure we improve our energy independence. Veterans are uniquely positioned to have some of the most needed relevant experience in the industry and are one of the most trusted voices by the public."
Shane Roche - Development Manager
Nuclear Submarine Officer - Navy
"The operational experiences I gained in the military prepared me to flourish in a large organization with distributed operations like Vestas. I've had substantial growth at Vestas, and see a clear path for progression. My military experiences are highly valued, respected, and recognized by the entire organization."
Lukas Magee - Sr. Manager, Operations Support
"Being in the Marines helped set me up for success working at Vestas because of the attention to detail, task specific competence, teamwork, and communication that I learned while being in the United States Marine Corps. The teamwork I have been a part of have been on par with my time serving in the United States Marine Corps."
Bryan Stanley - Technician II
"After leaving the United States Army, I was searching for an organization that mirrored the comradery, teamwork, adventure, and overarching mission that I had enjoyed within the military. I found all that at Vestas."
Matt Johnson - Resource Manager
" The military is all about attention to detail and teamwork and this is what put us ahead of others in the industry. My desire to learn and work ethic put me in a place where I was quickly put on a team doing larger projects and mentored by those leading them. I’ve since become a mentor myself."
Xavier Lyon - Technician II
Combat Engineer - Army
" I am 100% total and permanently disabled and I often must miss work for VA appointments and it's never an issue. This job and position have been a perfect fit for me. My experience and leadership training from my time in the Marines has always served me well in civilian life and does so here at Vestas as well. I would recommend that any transitioning service member actively seek employment with Vestas. Great place to work with great people where safety is a priority along with quality work."
Jay Phillips - Warehouse Clerk
Sergeant - Marine Corps
"I chose Vestas because Airstreams at the time said it was the best company to work for and they were not wrong. I have had plenty of growth and development in Vestas. I started as a Tech 1 in Resource, progressed to Tech 3 and I am now a Construction Tech Support Specialist. Vestas only works as a team. It takes everyone from the Office Personnel to the Technicians to make everything happen in this company."
Gregory Odden - Construction Tech Support Specialist
Infantry/Mechanic - Army
"One of the things I love about working at Vestas is the ability to create and lead change.
We have the opportunity to take ideas to implementation and lead projects that have a positive impact on our business."
Daniel Lindberg - Director, Tools
Cavalry Scout / Artillery Officer - Army
"I learned to work in a widely diverse and amazing group of individuals and learned an engrained sense of safety and procedures. Moving into clean energy was the easiest and most sensible choice. The comradery will make you feel right at home/military! The work ethic learned in the military is hard to pass by. Most of us are sticklers for process, as well as well-versed in process improvements, constantly looking at ways to make procedures more safe and efficient."
Sara Wert - Special Service Task Coordinator
Aircraft Mechanic - Navy
"It was a great opportunity for me to utilize my time in the Air Force as a Cargo Aircraft Mechanic. A lot of the fundamentals of aircraft maintenance transferred very well to wind turbine maintenance. This gave me a lot of the knowledge and tools I needed to be successful here. I have progressed from a HSE Specialist to an HSE Manager . I would highly encourage any Veteran with a maintenance background to apply!"
Roger Paugh - Manager, HSE Construction
Cargo Aircraft Mechanic - Air Force
